Across from the farmers market was a vintage car show and these cute mini’s caught our attention. I still want one.

My first car was a little Neon. It was cute and just the right size for me to travel to school and back. I sold it almost three years ago and that was the last time I drove a car! I don’t really like to drive, however Stephen is thinking about getting a mini cooper and well, if he does I think I may have to start driving again ;-) Everyone drives where I live and are always confused when I say I don’t like to drive. Honestly, big trucks and highway traffic scares me! We have a SUV now, so maybe it’s too big —perhaps a little mini would be better!

Do you like to drive?

  1. Ugh! I hate to drive. I’m fine with freeway driving, which is good, since I drive 50 miles to work each day. But parking, maneuvering in the city, big hills/mountains…all things that make me quite anxious. I’m very glad, though, to have a reliable little car, so at least I don’t have to worry about breaking down or anything. If it weren’t for my job, which requires me to have a car, because I need to go see my clients (they’re kids, so they can’t exactly come on down to my office on their own), I probably wouldn’t have a car. I live in San Francisco, and we have plenty of no-car transportation options. I don’t blame you one bit for giving it up! (And at least you know how to drive, for emergencies.)

  2. I do like to drive very much! I got my license just last year at the age of 27, drove on highways for the first time from Maryland to New Jersey, at night–it was scary but fun! But living in NYC doesn’t leave much time for driving since I take the subway everywhere :)

  3. I don’t like to drive either! Vaughn usually drives us if we go somewhere. However, my new car does making driving more enjoyable when I have to.

  4. I could definitely see you driving a mini cooper! I love to drive myself, more road-trippy kind of drives rather than 5 o’clock traffic or errand running kind, though. My car will be paid off in April, and even though I want to try to make it last another year or two I’m already contemplating what my next car will be. Those Fiats are cute too!

    1. That’s so much fun. April is so close, that must feel great! —Yeah, I’m a little nervous about driving again, but I know I need to. I enjoyed it in college (four hour drive from home) and I think driving a mini would be a lot of fun!
